用作狀語的從句叫做狀語從句，根據(jù)其用途分為時間狀語從句、地點(diǎn)狀語從句、原因狀語從句、結(jié)果狀語從句、目的狀語從句、條件狀語從句、讓步狀語從句、程度狀語從句、方式狀語從句。
1、時間狀語從句：表示時間“as 當(dāng)---的時候、隨著” “when 在---時候”“while 在---期間”“after 在---之后”“before 在---之前”“till、untill 直到---才” “as soon as 一---就”“since 自從---以來”
① when spring春天 came, he felt like a trip.旅行
② i can learn while i work.邊學(xué)習(xí)，邊工作
③ as the sun rose升起, the fog霧 dispersed.消失
as 都用于口語，強(qiáng)調(diào)同一時間或一先一后；when 強(qiáng)調(diào)特定時間，while 也指時間，是指一段時間。
2、地點(diǎn)狀語從句：表示地點(diǎn)：where、在---地方 wherever、無論什么地方，anywhere任何地方
① where i live there are plenty of許多，大量 sheep.
② sit down wherever you like.
③ you can go anywhere you want,
3、原因狀語從句：表示原因或理由：because、as、since 因為，由于
① i did it because i was angry.生氣
② as i didn’t know the way,路 i asked a policeman.警察
③ since i haven’t got her address地址, i can’t write to寫信 her.
because 語氣最強(qiáng)，用以回答why引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問句，可以用于強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)；
as 語氣較弱，比較口語化。 不能用于強(qiáng)調(diào)句
since 語氣較弱，表示“既然” 也不能與not 連用
4、結(jié)果狀語從句：so that 以至于、so---that--- 如此地---以至于---、such---that--- 這樣的---以至于---、 that 為了---以便---、with the result that 從而，因此，結(jié)果是
it’s such a good chance機(jī)會 that we mustn’t miss錯過 it.
i’m so busy忙 that i have no time to write a letter.
5、目的狀語從句：so、so that、in order that 為了 ，以便

目的狀語從句中常用的助動詞： can (could) 、may(might)、shall(should)、will(would)
目的狀語從句多位于主句之后
6、條件狀語從句：if (如果)、unless(除非、若不)、suppose(假設(shè))、supposing (that)/provided(that)假若、in case (如果、萬一)、as (so) long as (只要)
① if it snows tomorrow, we will build a snowman.雪人
② you’ll late unless you hurry.趕緊
③ provided / suppose / given that you keep quiet保持安靜, you can come to the concert.音樂會
④ in case it rains, don’t expect 期待等待me.
⑤ he will do anything as long as it is interesting..
7、讓步狀語從句：雖然，盡管，即使
although(though) 雖然、if / while / even if (though) 、however 不管怎樣、whatever 無論什么、no matter what (how / where / when)不管什么 / 怎樣 / 哪里 / 何時、whether---or---不管---還是---
① although (though) it is difficult困難的 , we shall do it.
② while i understood your point of view觀點(diǎn), i don’t share it(不敢茍同).
③ if he is little小, he is strong.
④ however height it may be, it can’t reach 達(dá)到the sky.天空
⑤i’ll go whether you come with me 和我一起來or stay at home.呆在家里
as though也用于讓步狀語從句，這種從句須以adj、n、v原形開頭，從句倒置主句之前。
① old as i am, i can still fight.戰(zhàn)斗
② exhausted 疲憊的though she was, there was no hope of her being able to sleep.
